y un día

pase a tener una doble identidad

una doble ciudadania

deje de ser solamente Ian

para ser también איאן

y otro día

ya siendo Ian / איאן

por causas ajenas a mi voluntad

(léase: “guerra contra el terrorismo”)

decidí dejar mi hogar y emprender un viaje

un viaje a territorios poco explorados

hacia lo casi desconocido

pero sonriendo porque entendí que

Israel es el lugar del mundo

donde se entrenan los mejores

y que los mejores se entrenan

para ser los mejores

y ahora ya sé

y confío plenamente en que

tal vez Israel me llevo al límite de lo posible

(y más de una vez)

pero también, a su forma, me supo dar

esa preparacion física, mental y emocional

exacta, justa, necesaria

para ahora poder decir:

“gracias, estoy listo”

estoy listo para afrontar cualquier desafío

y asi llegar a la cima, la cima de la vida

y brillar

y ayudar a que otros también brillen

porque así como tenemos la capacidad de proyectar sombra

también tenemos la capacidad de iluminar
